Communities and organizations can use the Hexagon Tool to understand better how a new or existing program or practice fits into an implementing site’s current work and context. The Hexagon Tool can assess fit and feasibility at any implementation stage. It is most commonly used during the Exploration stage when an implementing site identifies and selects new programs and practices.
Any community can use the tool below for any field.
  • An adaptation of the Hexagon Tool for use with Head Start grantees.
  • An adapted tool used by CalCurriculum is also available, with Hexagon Tool Case Studies describing the implementation experiences of four districts.
  • A Hexagon Tool modified by the National Center on Accessible Digital Education Materials & Instruction to support SEA and LEAs determine their readiness to implement the Quality Indicators for Accessible Digital Educational Materials and/or the Quality Indicators for Accessible Formats.
